The structure of the Collegiate Church of Sant’Ambrogio in Varazze was erected in the middle of the 13th century, a period to which the Lombard bell tower in red brick, known to the locals as U Campanin Russu, dates back. The façade is instead the result of a 20th century restoration.
Inside, you can admire Renaissance polyptychs, a panel painting attributed to Francesco da Milano and the polychrome wooden sculpture of Saint Catherine of Siena by Maragliano.
